ABOUT THE ROLE

Are you looking for a change or a chance to start a career in sales? This role is the perfect opportunity for you to join our growing sales team at Mainfreight Wharf Sydney and develop your career within the Mainfreight Global Supply Chain business.

The Sales Cadetship Program offers a fantastic opportunity to become an expert in Wharf Cartage, gain valuable sales skills through on-the-job training, and develop a deeper understanding of the wider supply chain aspects of our business.

About the Cadetship:

  • 12–24 months of hands-on, structured, and supported training
  • Learning all Wharf functions and systems, including operations, administration, customer service, and sales
  • Exposure to the wider business, including warehousing, international forwarding, and transport (understanding of the global business – who we are and what we do)
  • Attendance at internal and external sales skills training sessions
  • Involvement in new customer onboarding and existing customer KPIs
  • Regular debrief with the Sales Manager

The Successful Applicant Must:

  • Be highly motivated and enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment
  • Have great attention to detail
  • Be creative and challenge the way we do things
  • Enjoy and be confident with face-to-face customer interaction
  • Have a willingness to learn and excellent personal presentation
  • Show a strong internal drive to succeed and take initiative to develop their knowledge
  • Be a team player, which is paramount and essential!
