Your Role and Responsibilities

The Sales Coordinator plays a pivotal role in working within Hewitt to support the facilitation of the sales process from inception to execution, ensuring efficiency, supporting the achievement of sales targets, and helping to maintain and improve on delivering excellence in service for our Australian and international retail customer partnerships. 

By effectively managing administrative tasks, fostering internal stakeholder relationships, and providing valuable sales support, they contribute significantly to the overall success of the retail sales team and organisation.

Your Primary Responsibilities Will Include

  • Prepare sales and customer presentations and proposals based on team inputs and customer requirements.
  • Assist the retail key account management team with administrative tasks, including order review and coordination with production scheduling and planning teams.
  • Coordinate with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Ensure that all sales documents and agreements are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate the retail sales team quarterly ‘Home Week’ program and activities in collaboration with the Group General Manager, Retail Sales.
  • Serve as a point of contact for customers and consumers, responding to retail program specific inquiries and providing relevant information.
  • Support the retail sales team in identifying potential customers and assess their suitability for the company’s brands and products. 
  • Maintain and update customer databases and portals such as Coles Supplier Portal and Woolworths Partner Hub with accurate information.
  • Track sales activities and progress of strategic project initiatives and prepare sales forecasts tracking reports for management review.
  • Coordinate with relevant internal stakeholders on the compilation and analysis of retail sales data.
  • Assist in organizing promotional events, trade shows, and other sales event activities.
  • Streamline and optimise the inside sales process, from sales ideation/lead generation to closing sales opportunity. 
  • Implement best practices and sales methodologies to maximise efficiency and effectiveness 
     

Skills & Experience 

  • 1 to 2 years’ experience in sales administration and/or coordinator or in a similar role, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.
  • Excellent organisational abilities.
  • Proven capability in working in a fast-paced environment with ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively. 
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent capability in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), proficiency in CRM software an advantage.
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
