More About The Sales Development Representative/Associate role at Tyro 👀🤩
The Sales Development team is responsible for a combination of demand creation (outbound sales), demand response (inbound sales) and demand management.
What you will do in this role:
- Meet and exceed monthly sales targets and scorecard metrics, demonstrating consistent and sustained performance
- Generate and qualify new business for Tyro, developing a sales funnel through outbound calls and inbound opportunities
- Clearly articulate Tyros products and pricing to merchants and differentiate competitor offerings
- Collaborate, communicate, and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure customers have an excellent onboarding experience
- Proactively seek to expand knowledge on Tyro’s products and services to stay up to date with any changes within the fintech industry
- Understand Tyro systems and process through a high level of attention to detail
- Maintain a personal brand
- Display a competent level of business acumen
- Uphold and contribute to Tyro’s strong risk culture by complying with our policies, completing mandatory training and identifying and managing risks within your day-to-day work

Key Responsibilities
↗️ Outbound Prospecting - Generate new sales opportunities and move them through the funnel by drafting outreach messages and sequences, and identifying the needs of customers
🤝 Deal Management - Effectively prioritize and manage deals to meet sales targets, including coordination with AEs and Marketing to land prospects
🤝 Prospect Relationship Building - Develop relationships with prospects to uncover their needs through effective questioning, and to qualify interest and viability
