The business leaders are serial entrepreneurs with decades of experience in startups and the building industry. With a recent successful round of funding, they are looking to grow the sales team and hire a graduate who understands the impact technology has and is passionate about driving new business.
The role – Sales Development Representative
In this Sales Development role, you will play an integral role in generating a pipeline, seeking out new business opportunities and carrying out account planning strategies in the sales team. Joining a young and dynamic team, there will be plenty of opportunities to grow.
You will have the chance to work collaboratively with other teams, especially marketing.
Responsibilities of the role – Sales Development Representative
In this Sales Development Representative role, you can expect the following duties as part of your day, but not limited to:
- Engage with construction professionals via phone, email and LinkedIn
- Create new business opportunities across Australia and NZ markets
- Research accounts to understand stakeholders prior to contact
- Develop relationships with key customer stakeholders and nurture leads
- Collaborate with the business development team to build sales strategies and messaging
- Maintain CRM data for prospecting
- Ideally educated to bachelor’s degree in business/marketing or a related field (but not essential)
- Excellent communicator, both written and verbal
- Customer-centric with the ability to build relationships easily
- Curious mindset and eagerness to learn
- Comfortability using CRM software (or examples of working with any software)
- Proactivity and great problem solver
- Bonus experience (but not essential): an understanding of the construction industry
- Bonus experience (but not essential): experience in an outbound sales role in the SaaS industry
