The Sales Executive – Grocery will report to our General Manager Retail Sales and work with the team to enhance team performance, execute sales strategies, improving the customer experience and build internal and external engagement in line with our HSK Ward Vision, Values and Purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide sales support to Retail team including monitoring and reporting on orders, inventory sales and exception. Key to this will be engaging with retailers data, systems, processes and reporting timelines
- Responsible for driving new business and helping manage all key account relationships across the state
- Assist in developing key account plans (pipeline management) executing promotional activity, category reviews, trade spend and field team management to deliver profitable growth
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders to drive new product development, growing revenue, market share and increasing margin.
- Display active listening and apply consultative selling to uncover customers known and unknown category requirements.
- Support the Retail team with cross Customer requirements, including Range Reviews, Tenders and data analysis & sales program maintenance
- Building and maintaining positive relations with customers is an essential part which may involve regular follow-up calls, meetings and presentations of products range
About you
- The candidate should have a proven track record in building customer relations and achieving sales targets.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment, fostering positive relationships with colleagues and clients to achieve common goal.
