The Company
Ocean Network Express (ONE) is a Japanese global shipping company, established by the integration of the containerized divisions of the shipping businesses of MOL, K-Line, and NYK on 1st April 2018.
Following this integration, ONE's fleet size is ~1.59m TEU, which is the 6th largest player in the global shipping market. Our international container shipping operations will be performed through a fleet of ~225 vessels. The Company started trading under the name “Ocean Network Express” from 1 April 2018, with a holding company office in Tokyo, global headquarters in Singapore and regional headquarters across globe.

The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Position with a strong emphasis on new business development to join our Market and Commercial team. The position is based in Adelaide, South Australia.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position will be responsible for developing and maintaining market knowledge and a clear understanding of ONE's services for strong account Management, and to help identify new opportunities and accurate support for the Customer and Operations team. We are looking for someone who has excellent attention to detail, is precise, consistent in their work output, and can work autonomously as well as in a team. Key Responsibilities
Primary Job responsibilities:
Sales and Marketing
• Develop and maintain knowledge of all of ONE's services.
- Develop and maintain new and existing business
• Develop and maintain knowledge of trade flows and cargo movement/ opportunities.
• Promote ONE's services using internal and external marketing techniques in line with quoting guidelines.
• Set and monitor cargo targets in consultation with the Sales Supervisor and take swift action to address any dips in support levels.
• Work with the Sales department to collectively help achieve the agency's monthly sales budget for all trades.
Customer Account Management
• Maintain close contact with customers to ensure expected levels of services are being maintained in:
>>Customer visits/calls, contract maintenance
>>Customer service needs, including space availability
>>Equipment availability and standards
>>Financial matters
• Ensure customers' bookings, equipment, and documentation needs are communicated to Customer Service teams and guide to resolve any problems that arise swiftly and efficiently.
- Maintain thorough records of all customer interactions with proper and full use of all and any customer relationship management systems.
- Help the Customer Service team in trouble-shooting day-to-day problems or
any issues with clients with our documentation and operations teams
The successful applicants will have:
• Minimum 2 to 3 years shipping experience required.
• Ability to develop good working relationships with a range of business stakeholders.
• High attention to detail
• Advanced skills with Microsoft products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc…) and confident learning new computer systems.
• Effective time management skills and ability to work to deadlines.
• Initiative-taking and independent thinker
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently within a team and independently.
