We are looking for a high-energy, self-motivated Sales Manager to lead an engaged sales team working on some very exciting campaigns that include some of Australia’s most well-known and respected industry leaders. The Role
We are specifically seeking a Sales Manager who has experience or qualifications in Business so they can appropriately and efficiently communicate with C-Level Executives, Learning & Development, Senior and aspiring leaders from all levels of Government, Executive Leadership Teams, in multiple sectors. Implementing a sustainable business improvement strategy focuses on working smarter, more efficiently, finding cost-savings and aligning future direction with the growing business needs and this is paramount in so many of the sectors we offer learning outcomes for.
Sales Managers are responsible for:
Identifying and securing campaign sales opportunities
Creating value propositions in line with the campaign briefing for each event by acquiring and updating knowledge of the specific industry and market conditions
Continuously identifying, researching and generating leads for campaign sales, creating lists of prospective client businesses using directories and industry specific sources
Liaising with prospective and regular clients to determine and assess needs, qualify campaign leads to secure revenue for conferences and events within a particular sector
Selling the campaigns and attendance opportunities at the company’s events to achieve KPIs and targets set and agreed
Producing and distributing quotations /proposals to qualified prospects to secure sales
Negotiating and determining terms, following up for payments of confirmed deals, and completing and recording sales contracts. Following up with clients to ensure satisfaction
Maintaining accurate records of sales figures and paid accounts
Monitoring changing client and industry specific needs to provide market, event and prospects reports to the Director of Sales
Promptly raising with the Director of Sales any issues or challenges faced on an assigned event, relationship or area where support is required
Working independently with little ongoing supervision
Taking responsibility for the continuous development of campaigns, liaising with Production to ensure we are reaching the correct target audience and also securing the attendance of those relevant to our events
With a focus on government, health, education, financial services and banking, aged care and not-for-profit sectors. Sales managers build and maintain relationships with c-level executives, high-level decision-makers and those with relevant responsibilities to the sectors listed above. These relationships are fostered through conducting a needs analysis and also working collaboratively with other departments (conference producers, marketing, operations) to produce great results.

Essential:
At least three years of strong and relevant experience in managerial and technical sales with proven ability to be customer-focused and have the ability to communicate value propositions and focus on new business development.
Preferred:
Bachelors Degree or at least three years relevant experience in a technical sales role.
To be successful you'll have:
Strong commercial sales experience, with a heavy focus on new business development within a short sales cycle
The ability to research and generate new prospects and leads
Be customer focused and have the ability to clearly communicate value propositions
Be a team player, uphold our company values and be motivated by goals and targets
A background in Technical Sales
Results and process orientated experience with a high level of time management to ensure follow ups are done in an efficient and effective manor and any issues are resolved quickly
The ability to monitor clients changing needs and reporting these developments to Production, Data, Marketing and the Head of Client Sales
Previously had to negotiate, influence and persuade whilst quoting prices and credit terms and completing sales orders
The capability to report on trends and identify and action tasks autonomously
