The Sales Manager is responsible for the attainment of airtime & digital revenue budgets, effective and professional representation of the Seven Network in the Albany market, the control of expense budgets, and the continued success of the staff/office morale.What you'll be doing:
- Providing leadership and direction to the Albany sales team.
- Ensure revenue budgets are consistently achieved under company policy and budgetary guidelines.
- Supporting Seven Regional WA's local sales efforts through the development of sales promotional concepts, and ad hoc airtime packages.
- Developing and maintaining good relations with key clients, the business community and community leaders.
- Developing and maximising new revenue opportunities via effective sales processes and techniques.
- Managing cost control of all station related expenses in accordance with the approved budget.
- Overseeing and provide direction for the outsourced commercial production facilities and to ensure that on-air deadlines are met and that efficient customer service is in place.
- Providing input into the preparation of capital, revenue and expense budgets and assume ownership of the finalised annual operating budgets and any revisions thereto.
- Preparing weekly and monthly reports on station activities for the WA Sales Manager.
- Implementing procedures to facilitate the systematic monitoring of Seven Regional WA's on-air presentation and client activity on competitor stations.
- Provide coaching, feedback and development opportunities for direct reports.
- The Sales Manager is responsible for on station compliance with workplace Health and Safety regulations.
- Demonstrable experience media sales with a proven ability to achieve sales results/targets.
- Proven track record in building/maintaining long standing working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Professional approach to work and great attention to detail.
- Prior Television/Media sales/management experience or equivalent
