Eden Australia Ltd is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC), dedicated to the fight against human trafficking. We empower survivors by providing opportunities for them to design and create beautiful jewellery. We are seeking a passionate and results-oriented Sales Manager to lead our sales efforts and help grow our impact.

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to drive significant sales growth for our survivor-designed and made jewellery in the wholesale sales sector. This role involves building and implementing a variety of sales, marketing, and development initiatives aimed at driving revenue growth, delivering excellent customer service, and managing ongoing customer relationships. Additionally, a key responsibility will be to build awareness of the Eden brand across Australia. This is an ideal position for a sales professional with a heart for justice and a commitment to transformational work.

Scope of Position:

The Sales Manager role focuses on building and implementing a variety of sales, marketing and development initiatives aimed at:

  • driving revenue growth specifically through the wholesale sales channel, 
  • delivering excellent customer service and ongoing customer relationship management, and 
  • building awareness of the Eden brand in Australia.

They will work independently to plan, support and execute business initiatives and strategies which will drive significant revenue growth in addition to ensuring effective stakeholder management and customer communications.

This role of Sales Manager incorporates a combination of face-to-face sales and training, office-based strategy, planning and administration and customer support and service as well as financial tracking and analysis. Great self-motivation and time management skills will ensure maximum efficiency and positive output while juggling the key areas of focus in this role.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  1. Sales Revenue:

The Sales Manager is responsible for the ongoing management and growth of jewellery sales revenue specifically through the wholesale sales channel. 

By developing an in-depth understanding of the unique needs of this B2B sales channel and the broader wholesale landscape, the Sales Manager will proactively develop new initiatives which will maximise positive results within this channel. They will work to continually expand the wholesale customer base and will directly provide ongoing customer service, account management, sell-through strategy and support, training, and relationship management to all of Eden’s wholesale customers. Having forged many trusted wholesale relationships, they will manage the ongoing sales performance and growth via this vital sales channel.  

They will be responsible for proactively identifying opportunities and working with the broader Eden Australia team to maximise sales results. Engaging the broader community and continuing to build awareness of the Eden brand, the issue of human trafficking and the work that we do, is a vital component of this role.  

2. Strategy and Planning:

The Sales Manager is responsible for planning, documenting, and executing Eden Australia’s Sales plan. They will do this in order to generate a clear roadmap for all sales maintenance and growth initiatives for Eden Australia and will ensure clarity, direction, efficiency, and effective execution. This plan with ensure significant sales revenue growth specifically in the wholesale sales channel in Australia. 

3. Administration Management and Customer Service:

The Sales Manager is responsible for the day-to-day relationship management and service of the Eden Australia wholesale customer base. They will work with Eden Australia’s Operations and Finance Executive on customer financial administration, sales forecasting, campaign analysis, stock forecasting and management and they will ensure timely and professional communication, training and support of our wholesale customers. 

The Sales Manager is responsible for forward planning, sales campaign execution, customer communication and relationship management which drives awareness and sales growth via this vital sales channel. 

With regard to pricing, margin, stock levels and sales schedules, the Sales Manager will continually provide frontline sales feedback to the Eden AU team. This will ensure the positive shaping and evolution of the Eden AU wholesale operation. 

4. International Support:

The Sales Manager reports to the Eden Australia General Manager who also has responsibility of Eden’s Global Social Enterprise. Therefore, the role of the Sales Manager may at times be required to contribute to global sales planning and activities. 

In addition to a sound understanding of key sales principles and proven experience, the successful applicant will have a heart for justice and an understanding of the not-for-profit and Social Enterprise sectors. They will have a positive attitude and be customer and solutions focused.

Driven by results, the ideal candidate will have a minimum 3 years’ experience in a sales or marketing role, be highly organised with proven customer service skills, commercially minded and motivated by an interest in working in the social justice field.   • $85,000 salary (pro rata) + super
