Our client, a global leader in smart technologies and complete lifecycle solutions, is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Manager for their Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) division.As an experienced Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth, establishing and nurturing customer relationships, and contributing to the overall success of the company. The primary objective of this position is to achieve sales targets, lead a team of sales professionals, and develop effective strategies to maximise revenue and market share.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Developing and executing comprehensive sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets for our client's BESS products and services.
- Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the energy sector, focusing on customers such as utilities, independent power producers, renewable energy developers, and other potential stakeholders.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key customers, understanding their unique requirements, and providing tailored solutions to meet their Energy Storage needs.
- Leading, mentoring, and managing a team of sales professionals, providing them with guidance and support to drive individual and collective performance.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and marketing, to ensure seamless customer experience and successful project execution.
- Conducting thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, customer preferences, and potential areas for growth in the BESS market.
- Creating persuasive sales presentations and proposals, delivering them to key stakeholders to showcase the value and benefits of our client's BESS products and services.
- Monitoring sales performance, analysing sales data, and generating reports to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Staying up-to-date with industry developments, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that may impact the BESS market and incorporating this knowledge into sales strategies.
- Collaborating with the product development team to provide customer feedback and market insights, contributing to the enhancement of existing products and the development of new offerings.
- A bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field. An advanced degree or MBA is a plus.
- Proven experience in sales and business development, preferably in the energy industry, with a focus on BESS or related technologies.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team towards achieving targets and driving results.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term customer relationships, with a customer-centric approach to sales.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and trends and make data-driven decisions.
- Flexibility to travel as needed to meet with customers, attend industry events, and collaborate with colleagues at various locations.
