You will be accountable for ensuring the team has effective customer relations, develops opportunities for growth within an existing and new customer base, and assures market penetration and profitability while achieving sales and profit forecasts. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional who enjoys completing account planning and forecasting, analyzing reports on business, and handling performance of the team!Keys to Success:Lead the strategic direction for the overall ANZ region; Manage the sales (product specialists, business development) team to drive sales strategies to meet plan and expand business; Ensure team builds and maintains a pipeline of opportunities to meet or exceed sales objectives; Run pricing within territory to control profitabilityFocus the organisation on delighting customers and delivering on the wider Thermo Fisher value proposition. Establish relationships with key customers across the region with regular sales calls and a strategic partnership approach.Research competitor and industry activity and keep informed of new products/services and other general information of interest to customers incorporating this data in the business plan; Introduce new products and servicesBuild product and marketing strategy in partnership with global and regional strategy to drive strong business performance that capitalises on market opportunity.Drive applications support to enhance the customer experience in using our platforms and solutions.Show initiative to develop programs to drive growth in any economic conditionMaintain accurate reporting, records, and files necessary for proper management of regionMentor and develop the team, build career plans and plans for succession.Positively represent Thermo Fisher Scientific at all times throughout customer locationsEducationA Bachelor’s degree in Science, preferable Life Sciences (proteomics).Experience8 years of relevant, industry-specific experience, preferably in a proteomic or analytical science areaStrong sales management experience and proven leadership abilitiesKnowledge, Skills, AbilitiesExcellent business skillsAdvanced selling and presentation skillsExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsAble and willing to travel to customer locationsDemonstrates the Thermo Fisher values (The Four I’s) – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and InvolvementPhysical Requirements / Work EnvironmentAdhere to OHS policies and procedures and ensure a safe and healthy workplace environmentAdhere to the Chain of Responsibility obligations under the Australian Heavy Vehicle National LawBenefitsWe offer competitive remuneration, annual incentive plan bonus, healthcare, and a range of employee benefits.
