The Role
Reporting to the Revenue Operations Manager, ANZ, the Sales Manager is a newly created role responsible for leading a team of (initially phone-based) Sales people for a New venture by SEEK. The role places the Sales Manager in a pivotal position for a rapidly growing start up, supported by the additional resources, support and opportunities of being part of the SEEK Group.
The New venture includes a tight-knit team across Commercial, Product & Engineering and functions as an internal start-up. It pairs the relationships, assets and expertise of the SEEK group, with a group committed to the fast pace and high energy of a start up.
It is suited to a Sales Manager who likes to be deeply embedded in the business, loves to discover and learn continuously, crunches numbers to understand performance, embraces fast pace, and wants to be part of the journey of growing a business.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership of (initially phone-based) Sales people, creating a high performing team culture that is supportive, inclusive, and fun.
- Support the team to deliver outstanding customer experience, including troubleshooting and de-escalating where necessary.
- Design, implement and monitor commissions scheme in collaboration with commercial leaders, ensuring the team are motivated and rewarded in line with great business outcomes.
- Continually understand and optimise performance using an experimental & data driven approach in line with the start-up ethos of the business.
- Support business growth by surfacing customer insights & opportunities, and testing new initiatives to improve the customer experience.
- Shape the future of the team as the business scales.
Qualifications
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in managing a Sales team
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach and develop others, including the ability to motivate a team
- Ability to use analytics to measure performance - you will spend a lot of time with conversion funnels!
- Experience in creating team strategy, setting targets and developing plans/objectives to support these
- Experience in the Recruitment industry or HR tech is a bonus not essential.
- Have a customer-centric yet empathetic mindset who is always striving to create value for customers
- Strong stakeholder management, ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- A willingness to lean in and help out when and where the team needs it
