Sales Representative

About the Business:

M & Q Equipment is a family owned and operated business sourcing new and used mining and quarrying equipment worldwide. With over 30 years’ experience in the industry M & Q Equipment are the industry leaders in supplying client focused end-to-end service.  

Location: Head offices in Richlands

Travel: 2 weeks p/m travel within Qld and NSW.

Reports into: Sales Manager

Start Date: Immediately 

About the Role:

Reporting into the Sales Manager. You will be responsible for implementing sales development processes and strategies, on-boarding new clients and managing existing clients in the new and used sales department.

• Be a brand ambassador for Austral Pumps & DVI Valves and reflect company values at all times
• Secure sales volume to meet or exceed sales budget in the mining, processing, quarrying etc.
• Identify clients and market shifts predominantly in the pumps, replacement parts, new and used markets.
• Educate and engage customers of new products and the value of M&Q Equipment for long term business.
• Proactively pursue new business and sales opportunities to consistently improve market share
• Manage and improve sales of current, new, and lapsed clients in all Regions
• Develop monthly sales forecasts to report to Sales Manager

Skills & Experience 

• Proactive, motivated and driven individual with extensive experience in the mining, construction or mineral processing industries.
• Ideally, existing networks within mining and mineral processing companies in the major mining/quarrying basins.
• You will have experience in building strategies and selling pump or pump parts into the industry
• Strategic and solution focused mindset combined with a proven sales record
• The ability to work autonomously and the potential to take on bigger responsibilities down the track
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong ownership
• Willing to travel when required to meet objectives
• High numeracy and literacy skills with knowledge of MS Office
• Further develop Tall Emu (CRM Program)
