Conveyor Belt Company has grown again and we need some help suggesting our company’s products and services to our customer base. We are bloody good at fixing things, but not so great at telling people how good we are and what we can do for them. We are also very reactive and want to become proactive to help our customers achieve their goals and keep the whole world turning.
Our customers mean everything to us!
We are very customer focused at CBC. When our customers need us, we drop everything and move mountains to help them. You will need to be customer service focused and have fantastic phone skills. Also some businesses don’t really know that they are our customer yet, so you will need to be outgoing and confident enough to cold call potential customers and meet with new people.

Sometimes we need to perform miracles, or at least be able to solve problems. This can be the best part of the job, or the most rewarding anyway.

About the Role
As the Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for building relationships with existing clients and forging new partnerships with potential customers; understanding and communicating our offerings and the issues that they solve; build relationships and understand offerings from our supplier partners; working with the team to manage opportunities for business growth; and improve customer interactions.

- Although we don't work 1000 hours a week, we do work really hard and are committed to the job. Our customers run 24/7 and will need to be able to speak to us after hours. (Its ok though, there are plenty of us available to help)
- At CBC our people work at their own pace as we are results driven and don't believe in micromanaging. You will need to be able to work without being managed and ask for help if you need it.
- You are looking for an office job – This job is about seeing people on-site where the action is, not sitting behind a desk
