About the role
We are looking for a salesperson with a passion to hunt out New Sales opportunities and be rewarded with a great package and career progression .
An exciting full-time opportunity has become available in the EXOLUX Ferntree Gully office for a motivated Sales Representative to join our expanding team.
As a Sales Representative, you will focus on bringing in new business opportunities from targeted customer bases such as Architects, Builders and our wholesaler network.
We are offering:
- $110,000 OTE
- Competitive base salary + super

Core tasks will include:
- Generate new business opportunities through proactive engagement with clients in the commercial market (architects/specifiers) by utilising tender programs such as BCI and EstimateOne and also direct calling.
- Commercial builders and also residential (builders and deck builders) by organising onsite meetings and sample packs requests.
- Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve sales targets and expand the customer base.
- Drive sales through effective lead generation, prospecting, and conversion strategies.
- Drive revenue growth to meet and exceed agreed-upon targets monthly and annually.
- Service, manage and maintain relationships with our existing customers/distributors.
- Demonstrate a strong product and production knowledge
- Confidently conduct cold calls to generate new leads and expand the existing client base.
- Work autonomously to manage and grow the customer base by developing effective sales and call cycle plans.
- Conduct market analysis, assess competitors' offerings and pricing strategies to enhance market competitiveness.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and contribute to the growth of the company.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster client relationships.
- Represent EXOLUX through participation in trade shows/expos and conferences
- Possibility of 1-2 interstate trips a year for trade expos. (These sales will also contribute towards your commission)
- Assist in generating Marketing material for promotion.
Experience/skills required:
- Proven history of achieving sales growth through supporting & maintaining B2B and B2C relationships
- Proven experience in cold-calling and generating new business.
- Background in the construction sales industry (highly desirable).
- Experience dealing with architects and specifiers (desirable)
- Minimum of 2 years experience in sales
- Track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Team player with outstanding customer service skills.
- Experience in managing accounts through company CRM, with IT proficiency.
Qualifications:
- Australian residency and a current driver’s licence
