We are currently seeking a Sales Representative, with a passion for customer service and a strong interest in the construction industry.
Based in our Arndell Park, NSW office, the ideal candidate for our construction brand will be a dynamic self-starter with a robust understanding of the sales process. They should excel in generating leads, fostering relationships, and effectively closing deals. We are looking for someone who is not only a quick learner with strong negotiating skills but also capable of presenting our offerings persuasively. The role involves interstate and sometimes international travel, requiring an energetic and driven individual focused on achieving long-lasting results.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Generating new leads and opportunities through proactive outreach and networking.
- Managing and nurturing existing client accounts to promote long-term relationships.
- Delivering exceptional customer service by promptly responding to inquiries and resolving issues.
- Meeting or exceeding sales targets to drive business growth and profitability.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
- Staying informed about industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities.
- Keeping management updated through activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual area analyses.
- Recommending changes in services and policies by evaluating results and competitive developments.
- Working with marketing and other departments to continually enhance customer-facing communications and product information, using client feedback gained in the field.
- Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional events.
- Liaising with OEM suppliers to ensure specifications and applications are suitable for the target market.
You will need:
- Excellent communication skills, confidence, and a personable nature to build rapport and relationships.
- The ability to travel frequently, both interstate and internationally.
- A strong capacity to balance persuasion with professionalism.
- Proficiency with sales management software and CRM.
- High organisational skills and the capability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Resilience to manage the peaks and troughs in sales.
- Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
Desirable skills and qualifications
- Knowledge of construction equipment – excavators, rollers, wheel loaders, graders, dozers
- Proven success rate at levels above sales quota
- Ability to develop and maintain strong professional relationships with a range of stakeholders.
