Our client, a leader in Print and Adhesive Solutions, is seeking a passionate Sales Rep with labels or general packaging industry experience to grow their sales in the Sydney Metro, Blue Mountains & Central Coast areas.
This role offers the flexibility to work remotely with occasional meetings at the Central Coast head office. The territory you would be looking after covers primarily the Sydney Metropolitan area, North to Hornsby, South to Liverpool, East - unlimited, West - to the Blue Mountains, also encompassing the Central coast and surrounding areas. There is no requirement for interstate travel.
This is primarily a New Business Development role initially as the overall company strategy is top line sales growth, but some house accounts would be issued to give a working base and to provide balance.
There may also be opportuntiies for Trainee Sales Reps.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Locating new prospective clients and generating new business development for label sales through strategic planning, research and understanding the market
- The management, retention, and growth of current business by providing the best quality service and attention to the customer's needs and requirements
- Liaising with the Commercial Sales Manager, Technical Managers, and key customers to determine further potential sales within the customer base
- Liaising fully and proactively with the Internal Customer Service Team on all customer service and administrative work requirements
- Ensuring the accuracy of internal and external sales inquiries and the importance of the timely completion of requests to exceed customer expectations
- Maintenaning the portfolio customer database
- Monitoring and reporting current competitor activity, market trends with feedback and make recommendations for the company's position in the market
To be considered for this role you must possess the following:
- Minimum 3 years' experience of business development selling in prime label print and/or an associated packaging industry. Self-adhesive material knowledge is an advantage, but training can be provided if not proficient.
- Computer literacy and competency - experience with Windows based print software, MS Office
- High level of communication skills both written and verbal is essential
- Must be an autonomous, self-motivated, and responsible person due to the flexibility with how much time needs to be spent in the office. There is no minimum requirement for time spent in the office due to our Central Coast location, and it is dependent purely on the reps needs
- Needs to be pro-active, cooperative, honest, and trustworthy
- Be a hunter with a passion for sales and the success thereof
- Being a team player attitude is imperative
- Needs to be quality and cost-conscious with a solution-based focus
- Needs to have an analytical approach
