The Sales Representative/Account Manager plays a key role in establishing the first point of contact between prospective clients and Layfield in targeted markets. This position is a work-from-home option.
Qualifications & experience
- 1 - 3 years of previous sales or order desk experience in an industrial setting.
- Completion of a post-secondary program with a focus on engineering or business would be considered a strong asset.
- The ability to read blueprints and/or technical documents would be an asset.
Tasks & responsibilities
- Research potential clients to introduce Layfield, identifying key contacts and sourcing new business.
- Conduct follow-up calls on existing customers to understand their needs and ensure their expectations are exceeded.
- Review multiple bid tracking sites for upcoming job tenders and submit quotes to qualified bidders.
- Maintain accurate records of interactions with clients in the sales database (CRM) and provide weekly reporting as outlined by the Regional Sales Manager.
- Ensure both internal and external customers are kept up to date with new & current products, services and pricing, freight quotes and estimated delivery times.
- Update presentations with relevant information.
- Support marketing efforts and attending tradeshows as required.
