Job description

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Sales Specialist to join our team, focusing on selling cybersecurity, ERP, data management, and business optimisation Software and Services to local, state, and federal government agencies in Australia. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of government procurement processes and a proven track record in Software and Services sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to promote cybersecurity, ERP, data management, and business optimisation solutions to government entities at various levels.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with government clients, understanding their unique needs and requirements.
  • Navigate government procurement processes, including tender submissions, RFP responses, and contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure client requirements are accurately understood and solutions are appropriately tailored.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and developments in cybersecurity, ERP, data management, and business optimisation.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
  • Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to management.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and seminars to network and build a brand presence in the government sector.

 Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, specifically within the Software and Services industry, targeting government clients.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, ERP systems, data management, and business optimisation solutions.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and navigate the complexities of government procurement processes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with CRM Software and sales performance metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales quotas.

 Preferred Skills:

  • Existing relationships within the Australian government sector.
  • A keen understanding of the challenges and opportunities in the public sector regarding digital transformation and cybersecurity.

Salary: $150k + commissions and incentives
