The SAP Functional Consultant – Payroll (Systems Owner) is responsible for the support, operation, and development of the SuccessFactors Payroll application within the overall Goodstart technical environment. This position will drive a customer-focused culture aligned to Goodstarts’ Foundations, by empowering and enabling the teams to deliver outstanding service and support to our stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have notable local SAP Payroll expertise within Australia, and ideally come from a strong functional background.
- Design, configure and maintain payroll components including; wage types, benefits integration, deductions, off-cycle activity, garnishments, accumulations, date and period modifiers and reporting
- Configure and maintain all wage types and determine taxation rules, FI mapping, infotype association and permissibility rules
- Experience in Payroll Control Center
- Experience with gap analysis and strategic roadmap/blueprint development
- Understanding of Time Off rules, configuration of Time Objects, like Time Profiles, Time Types and Time Sheets
- Experience in proactively monitoring solutions and application and suggest improvement areas.
- Knowledge on EC module is an added advantage
- Experience in SuccessFactors Integration Center
- Designing, implementing and supporting complex business process in an SAP SuccessFactors environment.
- Continuously upgrade self and customers with the bi-annual upgrades in SuccessFactors
- Able to work independently and with others; self-directed; take initiative to solve problems and overcome roadblocks. Results-oriented

Required Qualifications:
- Certification in SAP Payroll and SuccessFactors module. (Employee Central Payroll Preferred)
- 7+ years total experience as a SAP Functional Consultant
- 5+ years SAP HCM Payroll experience
- Proven SAP HCM Payroll configuration experience
- Excellent communication, client stakeholder and vendor management experience
- Proven experience of integrating SAP HCM Payroll into other systems (E.g. rostering management systems)
- Early Childhood sector experience highly desirable
- Prior experience in functional role / end user preferred
