The Ngaanyatjarra Council Group represents the interests of around 2000 Ngaanyatjarra, Pintupi and Pitjantjatjara people living in 12 communities in the Central Desert region of Western Australia. About the Opportunity NHS has the opportunity for a School Health Nurse to provide services to our Ngaanyatjarra Lands. This role will be responsible for providing health education, screening and preventative care in a remote school setting, as well as assisting the health centre in ensuring clinical management of school aged children as appropriate.
Job Description The successful candidate will be required to: Deliver direct high quality and comprehensive nursing and individual case management to children of school age on Ngaanyatjarra Lands. Dispense pharmaceutical therapies, including the administration of vaccines, as per Remote Primary Health Care Manuals suite.
Provide culturally inclusive quality health care, promote and support. Aboriginal Health Practitioners (AHPs) as the primary health carers within the community. Document any individual consultation, group intervention and health promotion activities on electronic patient management systems.
