About the role:
You will be responsible for providing high-quality support to young people aged between 6 to 17 years old with a range of disabilities. Our SUPERHEROES program offers lots of fun activities to keep children engaged and entertained during the School Holidays. Each day is different as we have center-based activities as well as daily excursions into the community. The program will run from the 2nd of April to the 12th of April.
We are seeking up to 6 amazing Support Workers over the duration of this 2 week program who are:
- Willing to be fully engaged with up to 3 clients for each day of the program.
- Able to work with a variety of support need levels.
- Proven experience and compliance in recording detailed and accurate shift notes.
- Have experience with children with ASD and Intellectual Disabilities.
- Able to support clients who are in wheelchairs or use mobility aids.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Are adaptable and ready for fun!
Candidates must ensure that they have:
- COVID-19 Vaccinations
- Working with Children Check
- Current Police Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance
- NDIS Orientation Module Certificate
- CPR and First Aid certificate
- Previous experience working in specialist schools highly regarded but not essential
