About Your Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Supervisor Data Services, you will provide technical support and logistical management during water quality investigations by liaising with internal and external stakeholders to prepare required reporting and analysis that will assist in the identification and mitigation of potential risks from catchment to tap.
This role is responsible for:
- Managing water quality and environmental data within Seqwater's Laboratory Information Management Systems (LabWare) and aid with the ongoing administration and configuration of the database system.
- Monitoring and maintaining the integrity of Seqwater's water quality and environmental data by developing, implementing, and documenting data management, processes, work procedures and practices.
- Providing timely reporting of analytical results from various sources, identifying data trends and patterns and undertaking risk based analysis to identify and mitigate potential risks from catchment to tap to internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing technical support and logistical management for unscheduled water quality investigations or incidents and coordinate administration responses between various stakeholders across multiple disciplines of the business.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant Science or Engineering discipline.
- Detailed knowledge of the Australian Drinking Water Guidelines and its Framework for the Management of Drinking Water Quality.
- Experience in data analytics in a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) or other database management system, in a complex business integrating data from multiple systems and sources.
- Strong data manipulation skills and experience in performing high level of statistical analysis using MS Excel, SQL, OBDC or other database querying software packages.
- Experience in LabWare LIMS database system (highly regarded).
