- Ensure that the development teams are practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritisation, team accountability, and visibility.
- Recommend improvements and assist in changes to best practice.
- Manage project plans, schedules, and resource assignments as required and manage issues and risks.
- Work with the respective Teams Leads to align the priorities and coordinate the activities.
- Guide the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices.
- Support the Product Owner to maintaining the product backlog.
- Cultivate a collaborative, transparent, and self-organized team culture.
- Coordinate and lead Scrum events, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives.
- Serve as a servant-leader, advocating for the team and eliminating obstacles to enhance productivity and collaboration.
- Stay abreast of Agile principles, methodologies, and best practices, whilst coaching the development team on Scrum methodologies.
- Foster understanding and adoption of the Scrum framework, roles, and responsibilities among team members.
- Encourage continuous improvement and experimentation within the team.
- Maintain and update Scrum artifacts, such as the Product Backlog and Sprint Backlog
- Facilitate communication and collaboration between the development team and stakeholders, including the Product Owner, customers, and management, particularly during Sprint Showcases.
- Ensure smooth onboarding of new team members to JIRA, providing guidance on navigation, issue management (user stories, tasks, bugs), and status updates.
- 3 + years proven experience as a Scrum Master working with technical teams, preferably in Digital Transformation.
- Strong understanding of agile principles, frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban), and practices.
- Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor individuals at various levels of agile maturity.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt agile methodologies to suit the specific needs and challenges of the team.
- Agile certifications such as CSM, PSM, or equivalent are a plus.
