About the Business Unit
Technology Services explores and employs technology to enable the department's business to function via the use of modern, appropriate platforms, products, and services. It supports enterprise-wide platforms and services including critical applications, networks, telecommunication, call centres, hosting, intranet/internet sites; delivers business and corporate funded project; and overseas the delivering of services provided by technology service providers such as Cenitex.
About the Role
You will be accountable for establishing Scrum practices and optimising Scrum Team effectiveness by enabling the team to improve its practices within the agreed Scrum framework. Also Provide specialist Agile advice and coaching to peers ensuring Scrum theory is understood whilst continuously improving the execution.
Some of your duties will include:
- Coordinates and orchestrates all agile practice activity and deliverables to meet the demands and expectations of the assigned program.
- Facilitate and manage the provision of agile best practices, including the estimation, design and delivery of program work packages and releases in support of achieving program outcomes within agreed timelines.
- Help team identify dependencies across multiple squads and risks earlier and get it resolved.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Technical Expertise
- Strong demonstrated experience working as a Scrum Master implementing Scrum practices and facilitating ceremonies in accordance with a defined Scrum framework, principles, and Agile methodologies, including Kanban, Lean Start Up and scaling frameworks and principles.
- Strong experience working on large ICT programs/projects with internal and external integrations of applications/products.
- Proficient in working with Atlassian suite of agile project management tools. Ex: Jira, X-ray and confluence.
- Proficiency in the establishment and continuous improvement of the tools and processes that support the effective functioning of a Scrum team.
- Certified Scrum Master
- SAFe certifications are highly desirable.
- Relevant tertiary or post graduate qualifications are highly desirable.
- Appropriate vocation qualifications and certifications, e.g. Project Management, Agile, Software, Platforms, Cloud, Service Management or Change Management, are highly desirable
