About the role:
We are seeking dedicated workers for our state-of-the-art High Physical Support SDA with a specialisation in high care to join our team. The ideal candidates will have a genuine passion for assisting individuals with high-care support and will play a crucial role in providing personalised care to our participants.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing person-centred support to individuals with disabilities and mental health diagnoses living in high physical support SDA settings.
- Assisting with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, medication management, and household tasks.
- Fostering a positive and inclusive environment that promotes independence, choice, and dignity.
- Implementing individualised support plans in collaboration with clients, their families, and other support professionals.
- Monitoring and reporting on clients' progress, needs, and any concerns to the relevant stakeholders.
Essential experience and qualifications:
To be successful in this role you should possess:
- Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, or a related field.
- A valid Working With Children Check, or willingness to obtain one.
- A valid NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain one.
- Suitably qualified professionals, with a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disabilities.
- Experience in providing personal care and supporting daily living activities to people with disabilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build meaningful relationships with clients and their families.
- A positive and empathetic attitude, with the ability to adapt to the unique needs and preferences of each individual.
- Experience in mental health is desirable
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings.
