The Role:Reporting directly to the Export Manager, the Export Sea Freight - Customer Service will manage the end-to-end export process for a dedicated customer base and will deliver excellence to our customers reminding them what great Customer Service is all about.

Key Responsibilities:
- Handling consignments from quoting/ booking stage through the documentation process, invoicing and file reconciliation for all kinds of cargo across the globe.
- Arranging FCL & LCL transport jobs.
- Provide a high level of customer satisfaction through the delivery of exceptional service.
- Serving as a point of contact for clients, partners and other offices for any operations related issues.
- Coordinating and negotiating with subcontractors, sourcing competitive rates from potential subcontractors
- Supporting sales team with proposals, quotes and rates sheets to clients.
- Administration and support in daily business activities in a global business environment.
- Supporting management (local and regional) in reporting, etc.
- Ensure adherence & continued compliance to both internal standards and external legislative requirements across all trading markets.
- Spearhead initiatives for ongoing improvement to streamline operations, cut costs, and enhance operational efficiencies.
You will have:
- 2+ years of experience in an Export role.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of EDI Cargowise operating system is essential.
- Proficient computer skills including the use of MS Office 365.
- Good organizational skills, customer-focused with attention to detail.
- Account Management and client/supplier facing experience.
- Experience in handling & processing dangerous goods/Hazardous export shipments - DG qualified inc DG Hub and Ships lodgement experience.
- Relevant Australian freight industry experience and product knowledge.
- Clear and effective communicator with all internal/external stakeholders across mediums of exchange.
- Effective time and task management as per requirements or deadlines.
- Making sensible and timely commercial decisions.
- Being adaptable and accepting change.
- Resilience– handle challenges in a professional consistent and pragmatic manner
- Ability to work outside of normal hours if a specific situation warrants it.
