We are the experts in Marine Tourism. Our office is based in Main Beach, with 7 vessels and over 90 staff operating from Brisbane to the Gold Coast.
About the Role
This varied role is for a part-time HR Professional with experience in workforce scheduling, the day-to-day duties include:
- Rostering in Deputy system using advanced scheduling tools
- Timesheets approvals on a daily/weekly basis, and querying anomalies with the Operation Supervisors
- Leave requests and tracking
- Team satisfaction surveys
- Dispute resolution
- Recruitment
- Compliance record keeping
- Assisting with Payroll queries from Accountant
You will make a difference and be instrumental in helping to maintain a high-performing workplace with a positive team culture, including:
- Recruitment of talent in all functions e.g. Kitchen, Crew, Skippers, Customer Service, etc.
- Onboarding and site inductions
- Workforce planning to ensure employee development, training gap analysis, and roster coverage
- Employee engagement to foster a customer-first mindset, quality experiences, and tourism excellence
- Training management including scheduling, documentation, training register, and qualification matrix
- Employee budgeting and reporting
- Traineeship management and mentoring of school-based trainees (15)
- Supporting the Operations Manager/s and Managing Director in people management
- Policy and procedure updates
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:
- Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management)
- Minimum 2 years of People & Culture experience
- Minimum 2 years experience using Deputy system (or equivalent rostering software)
- Demonstrated experience in fostering a positive culture (highly desirable, please provide examples in Cover Letter)
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
This new position requires onsite duties in the Main Beach office.
We are flexible with the roster including hours and days worked. This new role is expected to be 20-25 hours per week, over 5 days.
A flexible roster can be built around school hours.
