Reporting to the Chief Information Officer we are looking for a proficient Security Engineer to play a crucial role in the development, implementation, and ongoing management of our cybersecurity infrastructure. This role involves leveraging cutting-edge technologies to maintain the utmost level of security for our clients. Proficiency in GitHub, Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Azure is essential for success in this role.
About You:
- Proven track record of troubleshooting and delivering results within defined timelines.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure/O365 automation and vulnerability management.
- Strong understanding of both Microsoft Azure AD B2C and Auth0.
- Strong familiarity with networking, security, and security-oriented SaaS solutions.
- Well-rounded expertise in Azure, covering networking, AKS, storage, compute, containers, Microsoft Entra, and how security tools integrate with these components.
- Solid understanding of Kafka and Microsoft DLP/AIP within a Bank or Financial service organisation.
- In-depth knowledge of APRA's requirements and expectations regarding the sensitivity and criticality of information assets.
- Understanding of event-based and microservices architecture.
- Experienced Full Stack Developer.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, deploy, and oversee security solutions, harnessing the power of GitHub, Microsoft Sentinel, Intune, and Microsoft Defender.
- Monitor, analyse, and respond to security incidents, including investigating security breaches.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify vulnerabilities, propose security enhancements, and implement best practices.
- Conduct penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Offer expert guidance on security policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continually enhance security measures.
- Evaluate risks and prioritise them in a way that benefits the organisation and its customers.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to automation.
- Deploy and manage Microsoft DLP/AIP in a Financial service organisation.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Demonstrated experience in software development with a deep understanding of GitHub, Microsoft Sentinel, and Microsoft Defender.
- Experience as a Full Stack Developer would be advantageous.
- Industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), or others are advantageous.
- Familiarity with cloud security, network security, and intrusion detection systems.
