Security Engineer

I am currently supporting a client within the environmental service sector.

You will work for this global environmental services organisation as a Cyber Security Analyst/Engineer. You will play a critical role as a security Analyst/Engineer within this high-performing team.

You will champion the maintenance and manage the configuration of a suite of security controls and tools, ensuring their availability and compliance with the desired security posture.

This is a technical, hands-on role in a small security team with dedicated professionals. Its goal is to enhance operational efficiency and the security organisation. You will contribute to Cybersecurity uplift projects and help with BAU activities.

Maintenance of security tools and controls such as EDR, NDR, PAM, proxy, email gateway, vulnerability scanning, application control and cloud posture security management

Exposure to OT will be highly regarded.

Good proficiency with a scripting language such as Python or PowerShell

Exposure to industry-standard security frameworks (e.g. NIST, ISO 27001)
 

Key Requirements:
6+ years experience in an IT Security position
A practical understanding of networking and security concepts, protocols and methodologies
Experience with security tools such as EDR, NDR, PAM, Proxy, Vulnerability scanning, CPSM
Demonstrated experience supporting effective cyber security practices and configurations such as Zero trust, RBAC etc
Experience with Identity Governance and Administration products
