ABOUT THE ROLE Do you have a passion for security? Are you excellent at building relationships? The position of Security Lead plays a key role in protecting the safety and security of the AFL owned Marvel stadium by working inside the AFL’s Security Team. The role coordinates with other functions of the AFL Integrity and Security team to champion and improve security standards across Marvel stadium.   A DAY IN THE LIFE OFKey Accountabilities:

• Work closely with the AFL Integrity and Security team to ensure a safe and secure environment at the AFL owned Marvel stadium across all games and events.
• Lead and promote the AFL Integrity and Security team’s strategy regarding deterrence, detection, disruption, and prevention.
• Lead the approach to target hardening Marvel stadium and surrounding precinct to ensure a robust security overlay in line with the National Terrorism Threat Advisory System and relevant intelligence holdings.
• Prepare weekly reports regarding games and events that will assist driving improved security measures across Marvel stadium.
• Prepare operation orders for high-risk events at Marvel stadium.
• Provide guidance and advice to Marvel stadium stakeholders on security matters.
• Plan, co-ordinate and execute strategies to achieve Marvel security objectives.
• Implement and assist in the development of standard operational procedures relevant to the functions of Marvel stadium.
• Provide leadership and oversight to the contracted private security operator for Marvel Stadium.
• Design and implement security rosters for Marvel Stadium games and events.
• This role is designated as a 5/7 (5 days over a 7-day period) working arrangement. As part of the role, the individual will be required to work one day each weekend (52 weekends a year) in a security lead capacity at Marvel stadium supporting games or events.

• Experience in risk management and the conduct of security risk assessments.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated understanding in protecting Crowded Places from terrorism.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a flexible across weekends and adjust to a rapidly changing environment.
• High level computer skills essential.
