The Team
The Chief Risk Office (CRO) is responsible for leading Scyne’s risk, ethics, quality, and compliance matters, which also includes oversight of the Company Secretariat, General Counsel, Client Risk and Quality, Account Support Centre, Defence Industry Security Program (DISP), Enterprise Risk, Ethics and Compliance. The CRO delivers the overall risk strategy, aligned with the achievement of financial, value and behaviours, clients, team, and commercial and strategic outcomes for Scyne.
The Role and Responsibilities
Our DISP Office is an internal function which manages our Defence Industry Security Program (DISP) membership, ensuring obligations under to program are met across the four security domains: Governance, Personnel, Physical and Information.
In this role, you will create value by:
- Supporting the Chief Security Officer (under the direction of the Security Manager) to undertake the day-to-day management of protective security.
- Supporting compliance with contemporary Australian Government and Defence security legislation and policies, including achieving and maintaining the standards required by the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF), the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF), and the Information Security Manual (ISM).
- Supporting the security vetting process for Scyne staff and contractors, including initiation of security clearances, and mandatory training and reporting requirements for security cleared staff.
- Responding to alarm callouts for existing physical security zones within the Canberra tenancy.
- Supporting Security Governance and Assurance activities.
- Contributing to the security culture through leading by example and demonstrating best practice examples.

You hold an Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) issued security clearance (NV1 or higher) and have prior experience working in a security administration field. Current Security Officer Course certification is desirable.
