Security Technician - Access/Intercom/Cctv Security Industry

About the role

• Site inspections, liaising with customers, project managers & engineers.
• Recovering relevant data from existing security systems for use in programming new systems
• Preprograming access control panels, workstation & server software & carrying out relevant testing prior to installations
• Leading  the installation of access control systems into active, large scale commercial buildings and residential complexes where prolonged downtime is not possible.
• Setup & testing of basic IP networks
• Configuration/testing of IP devices, VMS & storage solutions
• Integration of NVR/VMS/Intercom/Schematic/etc with Integriti
• Supervising other technicians & providing technical support during installations.
• Quickly and effectively solving problems that may arise during the installation unassisted while maintaining customer confidence.
• Interpreting & updating technical documentation including as-builds.
• Commissioning, customer witness testing & training
• Assisting the service team with Inspections of newly onboarded customer systems.
• Assisting the estimations team with inspections & technical solutions

• Minimum Demonstrated skills and experience in a similar position
• Excellent English, good communication and service skills
• Cert3 or equivalent
• Current Integriti Technician Certification (Advanced Preferred)
• Current State 2BC Electronic Security License
