Security Vetting Analyst – APS 5

• Labour hire contract until June 2025 with scope for 12 month extension
• Cert IV in Government (Personnel Security Vetting) required
• Minimum Negative Vetting 1 clearance required  

About the role
Our Federal Government client is seeking two Security Vetting Analysts at the APS 5 level to join their Security Clearances and Maintenance (SCV) team.
  
In this role you will be undertaking security clearance processes at the level of Baseline, Negative Vetting Level 1, but predominantly at the Negative Vetting Level 2.  You will also be required to assess complex clearance cases, provide Quality Assurance on Personal Security Files (PSFs), and provide sound advice on clearance outcomes. 

Duties

• Process security clearances for Baseline, Negative Vetting Level 1, and Negative Vetting Level 2 clearances
• Provide high quality sound advice regarding clearance outcomes, and be receptive to feedback
• Assess and manage complex vetting clearances, including the ability to prepare denial documentation to a high standard
• Provide Quality Assurance on clearance cases
• Manage a security clearance caseload in partnership with an outsourced service provider (OSP) to ensure benchmarks are met

  
Skills & experience

• Demonstrated experience working with a security clearance vetting environment
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, proficient written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to liaise effectively with a range of clearance subjects from diverse backgrounds
• Experience working in a fast passed environment and working to deadlines and changing needs based on the customers and department’s needs
• Hold a current Certificate IV in Government (Personnel Security Vetting)
