SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER ANZ

Job Description

The main purpose of the role is to manage and grow a set of designated existing and new customers in predominantly the Food (Sweet Goods & Dairy and Savoury) area. This includes providing sales and account management expertise to ADM`s customer base in line with the strategic sales plan and business objectives.This individual will be responsible for developing excellent relationships with targeted customers whilst representing ADM’s full product portfolio to these clients. The role will also involve the food team coordination for the overall Food business in ANZ, which includes the people management of some Account Managers. Lastly, this role also involves some Product Management Championship and the person will have responsibility for managing some ADM`s product portfolio`s internally. This role will require a highly motivated and driven individual with a proven track record in sales, Account management, ideally with some team leadership and a strong background in the Food Nutrition industry. Experience in strategic Account management and sales is vital for this role.

Your Responsibilities

  • The role is responsible for the sales, service and new business development of the consolidated ADM Nutrition portfolio to a set of designated existing and new Food customers/industries in the Australian and NZ market in line with the strategic sales plan and its objectives.
  • The role identifies key business opportunities and develops action plans for increasing sales revenue
  • The role is the main Sales interface to existing and new customers and includes the following
    • Understanding and acting on customer demands in a timely manner
    • Provide relevant support from the ADM product lines including managing customer sample requests
    • Co-ordinate activities and discussions between customer`s R&D, Marketing and Procurement teams and ADM functional teams
    • Oversee the ordering, transportation and delivery of products in conjunction with ADM Supply Chain team
  • This role act as the Coordinator for the food business in ANZ, managing and coordinating the sales efforts, opportunity Pipeline, the Sales KPI’s, the efforts in the application area, and other performance indicators of the food business in ANZ. This also includes the people management of some Account Managers.
  • This role also involves Product Management Championship of certain internal ADM Product portfolio’s and the person will have responsibility for managing such ADM`s product portfolio`s internally and be the main contact point towards our Supply stakeholders.
  • Prioritize projects through collaboration with Marketing, Flavour Creation and our CD&D organisation to ensure customer deadlines are met with high quality submissions.
  • Preparation of account plans and call reports when required
  • Professionally represent ADM at meetings, exhibitions, seminars and other events as required by Management, and manage ADM`s image and reputation in the Food industry
  • Maintain internal and external relationships of the highest professional standard which meet with company core values.   Responds to requests in a timely fashion.
  • Adheres to required forecast accuracy and customer receivables turnover days in line with set objectives, as well as other Sales KPI’s such as revenue, Pipeline, Hunting, and Interactions.
  • Manages all customer project activity as appropriate in CRM and Salesforce systems
  • The role is diligent in the implementation of all company policy requirements including reporting, compliance, training and other items as assigned by Management

Your Profile

  • Minimum 10-15 years sales experience in Food, Beverage and Nutrition area, with knowledge of both flavors and ingredients
  • Results oriented with strong business acumen with value-selling mind-set
  • Ability to taste a variety of finished products and ingredients including meat and allergen-containing products.
  • Must be a team player, yet have the ability to work well autonomously.
  • Strong Microsoft Office experience, specifically PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
