    The Senior Account Manager, SME & Mid-Market Sales is responsible for proactively managing ~70 international and national accounts with a value of more than $110m combined. The Senior Account Manager holds a portfolio of the most important accounts for the Qantas SME portfolio and is accountable to ensuring the retention and growth of these accounts. This role manages, negotiates and grows the portfolio via the provision of superior customer service via both face-to-face and phone-based account management.

    The Senior Account Manager employs strategic relationship management skills to ensure the careful balance between driving the account to achieve targets and maintaining a positive and effective relationship that aims to ensure the long-term retention of the account. This position takes a leadership role in the SME & Mid-Market team, by identifying and driving enhancements to the SME proposition, particularly focusing on the higher tier inclusions for higher value accounts.

    You’ll have:

  • Minimum 2 years relevant professional experience in Account Management, B2B relationship management roles within the aviation or travel sector
  • Highly developed sales, account management, negotiation, presenting skills
  • Excellent communication, listening, organisational and influencing skills at senior levels, both internally and externally
  • Demonstrable experience with successful contract negotiation strategies
  • Well-presented and confident with presenting to executive and c-level suite customers
  • CRM reporting systems and database management, including Salesforce use desirable
  • Excel and Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Problem solving and analytical skills to interpret customer data, sales performance and market trend information
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen and strategic thinking
