We have seen rapid growth and are now looking for an awesome Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Directors, you will be responsible for running a team of 5-10 Accountants to help us continue to provide high level support and top notch services to our clients, while having fun doing it!
The role will include (but not be limited to):
Management Tasks
- Oversee the onboarding of new clients, ensuring that they are onboarded in accordance to the ‘Future Advisory New Client Onboarding Process’
- Manage the distribution of workload to the team, ensure client satisfaction and employee utilisation is achieved
- Forecasting team workload
- Review the senior level of works
- Manage/Report on utilisation of both individuals of the team and overall
- Manage/Report on actual vs financial target of the individual/team
- Manage team profit/loss
Accounting Tasks
- Manage the monthly financial close process, including ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded, reviewing journal entries, account balance reconciliations and report preparation
- Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies and procedures and operational strategies including the review and implementation of process and system changes.
- Continued focus on improving system efficiencies and business practices
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment
- Interacts at all levels and with budget owners or other stakeholders to produce timely, efficient and accurate month-end close and all internal management and financial reporting through annual report
- Analyze the effect of statutory accounting practices and studies regulations and guidance to ensure correct application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Make recommendations for changes as needed and ensure that company policies and procedures are followed and establishes the proper techniques to discover and prevent fraud
- Assist with compilation of information for preparation of tax returns
- Prepare summary feedback of financial statements variances to budget
- Actively review and advise on financial/accounting processes
You look like:
- No 1 - MUST BE AN AWESOME PERSON, with a can-do, team player attitude
- Minimum 10-15 years experience working in an Accounting firm
- Minimum of 5 years experience of managing a team of Accountants
- Proven ability to lead and grow a team within an Accounting firm
- Relevant qualifications to perform the required role
