We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for project invoicing and cost allocation activities, providing financial analysis and reporting to senior management, as well as overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and management, and will be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and KPI reporting
- Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and forecasting
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger
- End to end financial management of large scale projects
- Ensure strict implementation of and adherence to robust cost capture practices throughout manufacturing, installation and commissioning activities
- Managing project invoicing lifecycle ensuring timely and accurate issuing of invoices throughout project milestones
- Proactive corporate cash flow management through effective debtor follow up and expenditure forecasting
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
- Manage and mentor junior accounting staff
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes
- Assist with audits and other financial reviews
- Support company ERP implementation activites and other project work as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
- CPA or CMA certification preferred
- 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a management role
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Experience with financial analysis and reporting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
