About the team
The ACG is a multi-disciplinary joint venture and UWA Research Centre which provides professional education training and research services to the mining sector, in the disciplines of underground, open pit and environmental mining geomechanics. The overall aim of the Centre is to improve mine safety and productivity.
ACG’s main activities are applied mining industry research, and the facilitation of continuing education and training through courses and conferences. Technology transfer from research outcomes through publications, training courses and training materials is an important part of the ACG’s mandate.
About the opportunity
As the appointee you will provide a high level of Administrative and financial support to the Centre and take a responsible role in the maintenance and improvement of the office systems and procedures to ensure its efficient operation.
The ACG team forms a dynamic team tasked with a diverse set of activities and effective functioning of the team is important. All team members are, from time to time, required to step out of their comfort zones and assist in different areas of the business as required.
To be considered for this opportunity, you will demonstrate:
- Relevant tertiary qualification or demonstrated equivalent competency
- Extensive relevant experience in a finance and administrative role
- Proficiency in a range of computing skills including Excel spreadsheets, word processing, Powerpoint, CRM systems, internet, Outlook, LinkedIn
- Highly developed research skills, thoroughness and attention to detail, willingness to learn new skills and take direction
- Working knowledge of PeopleSoft and Power BI would be desirable
