The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) is an independent statutory authority which regulates Victoria's gambling industry. The organisation licenses, informs and educates, monitors and enforces the gambling industry through a risk-based approach to regulation. The opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Risk and Compliance, this role is responsible for the development and delivery of the Risk and Compliance activities across the organisation. You will be knowledgeable and passionate about ensuring Risk and Compliance management activities are well developed and embedded. You will have the relationship with VGCCC's outsourced internal audit provider and have input into the design of the internal audit program to ensure it is a highly effective third line of defence for the organisation, completing risk audits (strategic, operational and Compliance based) and providing reports on these and identified actions, providing progress and status reports to the Audit and Risk Management Committee, Executive Management Team and the Commission.

You will work closely with leaders and senior stakeholders providing advice, guidance and making recommendations – a true champion of a Risk and Compliance-based culture.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and draft the VGCCC's enterprise risk management framework and risk monitoring program
- Work closely with VGCCC's outsourced internal audit providers to regularly assess and track risk indicators and ensure the related processes, systems, and activities are fit-for-purpose
- Work closely with Divisions to identify and prioritise strategic, operational, financial, and Compliance risks. Develop risk mitigation plans and strategies
- Support Business Continuity Planning activities across the organisation to ensure appropriate plans are in place, to meet the needs and obligations of the organisation. Ensuring that plans are regularly assessed, tested and updated to meet organisational and operational requirements
