- Opportunity to join Westpac Institutional Bank's Global Transaction Services Liquidity Solutions team
The Liquidity Solutions team within Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) supports the end-to-end deposit needs of our Institutional Clients with a focus on working capital and investment solutions. The team is accountable for end-to-end product management and client pricing, deposit portfolio management (including, funding, revenue and quality outcomes), and commercialisation solutions for individual clients (including structuring and analytics).
Reporting into the Director, Balance Sheet Manager within Global Transaction Services (GTS), as a Senior AssociateBalance Sheet Modelling you will be responsible for developing data and analytical solutions to develop analysis and insights, which support portfolio funding, revenue and client strategies and outcomes.
You will:
- Develop and uplift tableau dashboards for monitoring liquidity product performance.
- Provide data-driven insights and decisioning to support the team define and execute funding, revenue and client strategies.
- Deploy advanced technology to enable simpler and smarter data and analytical solutions for the team.

What do I need?
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive practical experience in programming using SQL, SAS and Python, and you need strong data engineering skills to apply your knowledge to business, i.e., optimising the reporting and analytics pipelines for liquidity. You will have proven strength in strategic, numerical, and analytical thinking and successful experience in developing product roadmaps, strategies, and customer value propositions, and will be comfortable partnering with a variety of stakeholders and be able to take a problem-solving approach while articulating complex situations clearly.
Further advantageous skills:
- Coding architecture skills: Function, Class, and Inheritance.
- Tableau dashboarding development: end to end solution for data reporting.
- Kaggle competition experience or GitHub projects contributor experience.
