They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst |Business Continuity and Risk Expert with experience in reviewing and uplifting Business Continuity Planning in IT, HR, and Finance to join their team in Sydney CBD with some flexibility to work remotely from home. This is an estimated 4-month temporary assignment, with the potential to extend.
The Senior Business Analyst | Business Continuity and Risk Expert will be updating policies and process documents, and uplifting maturity within the organisation.
Responsibilities
- Manage Business Continuity planning and coordinate disaster recovery tests, including breach recovery planning in case of data or cyber breaches.
- Critically review business processes, and identify risks, issues and impacts to project delivery.
- Provide independent and high-level advice and analysis to business leaders on opportunities for process re-engineering.
- Ensure Departmental compliance with risk management legislative requirements meeting minimum standards
- Review and evaluate internal controls and procedures associated with products, services, vendors, customers and operations
- Facilitate changes through the provision of well-researched analysis and information to the business and by ensuring that the requirements for change are clearly identified.
- Prepare and source a range of project-related documents, including status updates and reports.
- Facilitate training and coaching delivery, as well as identifying individual or group-based skills deficiencies.
- Assess the risks associated with an application and make recommendations based on the evidence using an unbiased approach incorporating principles of procedural fairness
- Prioritizing initiatives based on business needs and requirements.
- Updating policies and procedures.
- Solid analytical, problem solving, and negotiation skills
- Impeccable communication skills, both verbal and written
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Strong computer literacy and proficiency
- Minimum 3 years Senior Business Management experience
- Demonstrated Business Analyst experience
- Previous experience in IT, HR and Finance highly advantageous
- Impeccable communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Solid analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Takes initiative, with the ability to work independently
- Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
- Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
- Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
