Our client is a Higher Education provider in Western Australia and they are looking for a great Business Analyst to join their cyber programs.
Our client is a great WA higher education provider with great history looking for a Senior Business Analyst to work in their Cybersecurity initiatives for the next 12 months on a fixed term arrangement based in Perth's Western Suburbs. They have a group of switched on and motivated people who are looking for a candidate with to help the Technology services team which is vital to enabling our client's strategic projects.
- 7.5 hours per day and 37.5 hours per week.
- Perth western suburb locations (WFH must be requested as per client's requirements) On-Site and remote work as required by our client.
- Perth based candidates only, please. This role requires the candidate to be in the office as directed by our client. NO FULL REMOTE WORK ALLOWED.
- Fixed term 12-month appointment on an ongoing basis role salary level is HWE 7 to 8
- The below salary scales are applicable for this role based on experience:
- Level 7 $95,737 - $106,223 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation
- Level 8 $106,775 - $116,709 p.a. (pro-rata) plus 17% superannuation
Key duties and role expectations
As the appointee you will work independently and manage the delivery of business analysis and requirements, process re-design and improvements to enable the successful delivery and maintenance of Information and Technology services. You are also responsible for establishing the testing strategies and plans for all solutions and services to ensure robust and consistent delivery for our client.
- Develop gap analysis, requirements elicitation (functional and non-functional), analysis and prioritisation, specification, management, and traceability.
- Map business requirements and processes to the functionality of a product whilst identifying gaps and opportunities.
- Manage the translation of business needs and requirements into technical and solutions requirements.
- Develop, refine, and apply analytical tools, methods, and techniques to support resource analysis; lifecycle cost estimation; cost-effectiveness analysis of alternatives; acquisition planning; program risk assessment; investment strategy/portfolio optimization; business process/model development.
- Manage the development of testing strategies and user acceptance testing plans for solutions delivery projects Embed a culture of service excellence, innovation and continuous improvement founded on cohesiveness, teamwork, and flexibility.
- Other duties as directed.
Work capabilities
- Knowledge of business analysis preferably in BABOK, AGILE BA or equivalent
- Substantial relevant technology experience in a Business Analyst role or a role requiring business process re-engineering and improvement in large and complex organisations.
- Demonstrated experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modelling, testing and verification and methodology development.
- Demonstrated experience in establishing testing strategies and plans, business cases and investments options modelling at an appropriate level.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set and negotiate competing priorities and to meet deadlines.
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build positive stakeholder relationships whilst always remaining fully customer focused Knowledge of the Higher Education sector is desirable.
Some after hours and weekend work may be required, and provision of a Current National Police Clearance will be required for the successful applicant.
