OUR ROLE
As our new Senior Business Analyst, you will help us bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions, promoting new ways of working by bringing a cloud-native approach to reviewing and optimising existing processes for our enterprise customers.
Upon commencement, you’ll jump straight into a dynamic project that will see join a multi-disciplinary team with architects and engineers. This project team is passionate about all things Automation and DevOps, so if you're interested in this space too - its a perfect match! We like to understand how the shift-left paradigm can help organisations deliver business value faster, more reliably and securely more than ever before so we're looking for a new team member that thinks the same. Our team also plays a role in enabling xAmplify’s broader technical organisation which will provide you with an opportunity to:
Utilise your expertise with automation tools, frameworks and industry knowledge to define and enforce high quality practices and processes
Share your technical and process knowledge with our team of like-minded BAs, automation engineers and architects
Mentor like-minded junior Business Analysts
YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
No certifications? No problem! We put greater value on your experience and your ability to navigate and solve complex problems. Existing tech certifications are not a pre-requisite for this role. With that in mind though we are looking for you to possess the following capabilities and experience:
Strong requirements gathering and analysis skills and discovery workshop facilitation
Eliciting and documenting functional and non-functional requirements
Demonstrated business change and process re-engineering experience, including working with Business stakeholder to adopt, define and implement new ways of working
Previous experience mapping IT service provision/sustain/deprovision workflows, including associated administrative / service management activities desirable
Visualisation of business needs, goals, objectives, problems and vision
Previous experience with Value Stream Mapping analysis techniques desirable
Good understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts
Good understanding of release and change management processes
Experience working with DevOps and Agile environments and a good familiarity with Agile methodologies.
We'd also like you to have:
Strong problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to think laterally, propose and implement unique solutions to our clients and internally
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)
Good time management skills, and be self-starting, with the ability to drive your own actions, whilst also working as part of a team

ENGAGEMENT TYPE
This role is available is available for an initial contract period until the end of June 2024, with potential for extension.
LOCATION
We are looking for candidates based in Sydney, NSW as there will be a requirement to spend regular time on client site. But don't worry, we pride ourselves on our hybrid work environment so we will ensure you have a balance between home, client site and office.
KEY ELIGIBILITY
We are seeking candidates with full Australian working rights, citizenship is preferred however we are also willing to consider candidates with permanent residency or applicable visa.
