The Opportunity:
As a key member of the Delivery Capability team, the Senior Business Analyst is responsible for leading and delivering business and systems analysis services associated with tactical and Enterprise projects within the Technology team.
Key to this role will be leading and executing end to end business analysis activities within projects and programs of work. Working with key stakeholders to plan, scope, manage and define business needs utilising fit for purpose' business analysis activities and deliverables to support delivery of project objectives and business outcomes.
This role would ideally be suited to an experienced Business Analyst who is passionate about creating innovative solutions and the has the communicative skills to present these findings verbally as well as in reports.
The successful candidate would be responsible for:
- Assessing and determining business problem and opportunities, with a view to determining and applying fit for purpose Analysis approaches, plans, methodology and practices
- Leading, managing and executing end-to-end Analysis activities, deliverables and outcomes, also ensuring the delivery of Analysis activities by other Practitioners
- Collaborating across business, technology and operational support teams to design and implement agreed changes to work practices, processes, and systems
- Contributing to ongoing development of the Analysis Community of Practice at AIA, generating community and stakeholder buy in, promoting and ensuring the value and benefits of the Analysis CoE are understood
- Developing project analysis plans, identifying project problems and opportunities for improvement
To be successful in this position, you will have:
- Significant working experience in Business Analysis, with the responsibility for leading and delivery Business Analysis services in large and complex projects
- Experience working within a professional enterprise project delivery function, in a similar/medium-large sized organisation, is highly desired
- Demonstrated project delivery acumen and significant experienced in the delivery of Business Analysis services within a professional enterprise change/project delivery function
- Experience in delivering change via planned (waterfall) and change (Agile) driven project management methodologies and governance
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to generate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Previous experience within the Insurance or Financial Services industry is preferred
