The main objective of this position is to oversee the planning and execution of business and process improvement initiatives, with a key emphasis on enhancing customer and business outcomes. A crucial aspect of this role involves enhancing efficiency and incorporating business excellence principles. Additionally, it entails taking the lead in implementing changes to facilitate the effective operational flow of the business.
You'll be responsible for

  • Develop initiatives from conception to implementation, aiming to achieve higher levels of automation and simplification for optimizing and enhancing effectiveness within the business, ultimately leading to improved customer outcomes.
  • Analyze and implement business process initiatives. Successfully execute assigned projects and Business Improvement initiatives within the agreed scope and specified timeline.
  • Ensure data-driven recommendations by analyzing both customer and operational data. Monitor and report on the realization of benefits and the impact of implemented changes.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders, primarily in GI Claims but also within Customer & Operations more broadly.
  • Identify innovative approaches to address organizational challenges and capitalize on opportunities within the business through consultation, scanning, discussions, and engagement with business representatives.
About you
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
  • Significant experience in a business and / or data analytics or business process re-engineering role for a complex matrixed general insurance or financial services organisation.
  • Proven analytical and critical thinking capability to interpret a range of data, identify patterns, trends and links that inform judgements and solutions.
  • Pays high attention to detail by completing tasks with thoroughness and accuracy and can quickly identify errors or inconsistencies within information.
  • Good understanding of process improvement techniques and experience applying these to make organisation changes eg; Lean / Six Sigma or similar methodologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
