In this position you will lead the Buying function for Footwear and Leather Goods, ensuring the commercial delivery of the R.M. Williams men’s and women’s collections across these categories. You’ll be leading and developing a team including a Buyer and Assistant Buyer. You’ll collaborate closely with stakeholders across the business and will be responsible for many of the foundational elements of the product life cycle.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Collaborating with design to develop a commercial range
- Ensuring the range is delivered on critical path timelines
- Weekly trade reporting including product and category insights
- Identifying opportunities for growth whilst managing risk
- Partner with the wider buying team to deliver a cohesive offering across categories
- Post season analysis
- Market trend and competitor research
- Margin management and pricing strategy
- Working with Planning on effective product lifecycle management
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- 3+ years’ experience at Buyer level required
- Passion for product coupled with an enduring desire to learn and grow
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Strong experience of developing individuals and teams
