Senior Buyer

Join a much loved retailer as their newest Senior Buyer responsible for creating successful, trend driven ranges.

Our client is an iconic Australian retailer synonymous with streetwear and youth culture, they are on the lookout for a dynamic, commercial Senior Buyer to join their well established buying team.
About the role:

• Develop a compelling product and brand offering that differentiates from their client from the competition.
• Using commercial skills, combined with the ability to analyse customer's needs and research to effectively deliver long term strategic growth.
• Managing the end -to-end Critical Path process across functions to meet instore dates.
• Managing and using strategies to achieve the financial plans including sales, profit and stock turn.
• Partner with the wider buying team to deliver a cohesive offering.
• Source and develop new and exciting brands and leverage great relationships with both branded suppliers and vertical designers.
• Commercially manage stock flow, whilst delivering a high-performance and profitable brand matrix.
• In conjunction with the marketing and visual merchandise teams, develop effective and relevant communications to the consumer.
• Through your leadership, develop and foster strong and mutually beneficial long-term relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Mentor & develop Junior Buyers and Buying Assistants.

About you:

• Minimum three years’ + experience at a Buyer level wihtin apparel
• An excellent understanding of the Men’s streetwear market
• Demonstrated experience in vendor and supplier management
• Great influencer, strong negotiator and outstanding communicator in both verbal and written communication
• Proven track record of the development of both individuals and teams for success
• Strong analytical skills and a depth of experience in consumer insights and research
• Degree, Tertiary or Fashion qualification is highly desirable
