About The Position:
This role is within our Product Development team and will have responsibility for creating high quality 3D Designs and 2D Drawings for Automotive products. The Senior CAD Designer creates 3D CAD models and 2D Drawings using Siemens NX Software. This roles suits someone looking for the scope to work on a wide range of products covering differing manufacture methods. If you enjoy variety, have a talent for design and the ability to problem solve design options this role is for you.
About you:
You will achieve success and your full potential in the role with experience and qualifications in the following:
- A Minimum of 5 years experience with 3D CAD modelling and 2D drafting, preferably with Siemens NX (CATIA and/or Solidworks experience also strongly regarded).
- Knowledge and experience designing plastic, composite and metal components is highly advantageous.
- Understanding of product manufacturing techniques such as fabrication, injection moulding, pressing, casting and forging, to assist with Design for Manufacture approach.
- Experience designing products within the product development process from conception to production.
