About the role
This permanent Senior Capital Works Project Manager position is located within the Sports and Community Infrastructure Branch. This role will work with the team on various projects across the Logan City. The focus will be on large from-scale projects community facilities, council owned capital assets and other capital improvements.
As part of the team you will work within the areas of scope management, design management, procurement management, construction management and contract management. Your clients will be within council, branches and individual councillors.
Elements of the role include:
- Scope management including communicating with customers, investigating planning and design concepts and providing profession advice.
- Procurement management, preparing documents including tenders and quotations.
- Construction management including site inspections, monitoring projects and corresponding with all stakeholders.
- Contract management including acting as a superintendent on minor projects.
Minimum requirements of the role include:
- Tertiary qualifications (diploma or above) in Architecture, Engineering, Project Management or similar is essential.
- Proven experience in managing projects during development and delivery.
- Varied project experience with knowledge in design standards, building codes, cost planning and construction methodologies.
- Competently use standard packages such as Microsoft
- Excellent communication skills, from councillors to colleagues to non-technical stakeholders
